I have my admissions appointment at the hospital on Thursday so I'll find out a lot more then. And I'll be able to ask all of the questions I need. I'll probably be in hospital for 3-5 days and then I'll be going home to my parents to recover until I'm capable of doing it on my own.
For those that I know have followed my journey with this stupid back problem of mine I thank you for all of your concern and thoughtful messages. Finally the light at the end of the tunnel. And for those not up to speed I'll be having a Microdiscectomy which is basically where they remove a disc bulge in my spine. I had a fall as a teenager which did the initial damage and last year my back finally had enough and the disc gave way. So it's been a long twelve months of pain.
Yes, ouchies!!
I'll be online to post again before I go in to hospital.
I hope everyone is having a lovely week.
Goodluck Beck! Hope the surgery goes well for you and that you have a speedy and pain free recovery.
ReplyDeleteThat's good news but I undertake shy you'd be a bit nervous. Surgery and hospitals are never fun. I'll be wishing you well :)
ReplyDeleteOh Beck, great news! Really, it is great news. I know you will be worried and nervous and that is totally normal. But you're doing the best thing for yourself long term. The short term pain and inconvenience can be worked through. It's wonderful to hear you've got good support too. I know the first thing I'd be concerned for are my boys, so understand that completely. Hope you can spend the time leading up to your surgery relaxing a bit if you can. Probably works out well it's around school holiday period too I guess. Anyway, take care and I'll look forward to reading your upcoming posts. Very happy for you :o) xo
ReplyDeleteThinking of you, hope all goes well! X

ReplyDeletemy mum had both knees done near Xmas last year and she tells me she still sits quietly now and thinks to herself how lovely it is to not be in pain anymore. I wish you the same thought :)
