Anyway one of the first photos I came across was this one *drools*

I've been thinking a lot lately about possibly being able to buy my own place next year which is uber exciting so I've been dreaming of all things house design. I'd really love to build as both of the two houses I've ever owned we built but I'm just not sure its doable on my own so I'll probably buy established. I've been dreaming about having a room just for me and not one in which I sleep. A room with one wall covered in bookshelves, my own mini library. A corner for all my craft goodness, see above. And I would kill for a window bench seat with a view and storage underneath. And of course a space just for me to meditate or enjoy yoga again. Ahhhh dreams are free.....
What are your plans for the weekend? We have Cooper's bowling party on Saturday afternoon so I'll be spending Saturday morning finishing off the cupcakes and of course making his birthday cake. But I also want some much needed down time to get back in to a book I started a few weeks back but I haven't touched it since. I discovered this book a few months back when I was shopping with my sister in law down at Burleigh Heads and we discovered this awesome little organic shop and I just had to have this book and I'm dying to finish it.
I also came across this during the week. It's the motto for my life at the moment. I think I'll print it out and put it on the fridge.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, with whatever you have planned.

Oooooh I LOVE pinterest too - it's my new timewasting dreaming love! So much inspiration and beauty - such a great idea. I'm also dreaming of a full wall library one day too, beautiful lighting and a comfy quiet spot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
PS - you should totally print that out and put it on your fridge - I love it!
Dream big Beck, why not?! Look forward to following your journey.
ReplyDeleteHope Cooper has a wonderful bowling party and good luck with all the baking :o)
Hi Rebekah - so happy to be following you too. I`m dreaming of a room of my own but for the moment it will stay a dream...but that`s okay. We can all have dreams. Have a great weekend in your beautiful corner of the world!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm a member of Pinterest but I just don't quite get it and don't know where to start.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture - how organised and pretty is it. I was lucky to get my own craft/sewing room in this house. We built shelves and I love them (though we swore a lot while building them). I'm going to post an update prob next week so I'd be interested to se what you think.
Have a lovely weekend. I think I might be lazy :)

I love ducking in and out of pinterest too, but I'm not taking that leap to join (yet) as I'm sure I would waste many precious hours there! Love the idea of your room, especially the window seat and mini library... sounds beautiful. Enjoy your weekend Rebekah... gxo

I haven't ventured into the world of Pinterest yet but have come across some lovely images on others' pages. I love that organised craft nook you've posted. Hope the party went well and you had time to get stuck into what looks like an interesting book.
