This week I'm grateful for.....

I'm grateful for two things this week. Is that greedy?

Having such a horrid few months of pain with my back I don't think I'll ever take for granted the little things ever again. After my operation I have a list a mile long of the things I want to accomplish but in the meantime I'm learning not to take anything for granted.

So this week because my pain has been under control I've been feeling a lot more in control. So little things like walking Cooper up those two flights of stairs to his Prep classroom hasn't been such a big deal. In fact it's been awesome. So I'm grateful that this week I have been able to walk him up every day without having to get one of the other Mums to take him up.

It's like an accomplishment just getting to the top. Especially on days I have Blake with me. We even managed to get a happy snap in the cubby house outside his classroom.

I know I'm bias, but how cute are those faces? I'm so grateful to be their Mum. Excuse the dodgy out of focus iPhone photo.

I was also grateful to be able to watch my big boy play his first 'game' of football when we signed him up for Auskick this week. They don't play a game as such. It's more about learning ball skills, coordination and learning about team spirit. I was so proud of him. And he absolutely loved it. He was beaming afterwards. So now our Tuesday afternoons will be spent at Auskick.

I'm linking up with Maxabella loves. What are you grateful for this week?

  1. we are all biased when it comes to our kids but yes, there are two gorgeous little faces right there! It is an interesting learning curve, being forced into a situation where we no longer feel we can take the little things for granted. But I think perhaps the real lesson is maintaining this feeling after the hardship has passed. For me anyway!

  2. Your little boys are adorable! I know I feel grateful after feeling sick and then better. Right now, I will feel grateful when this dreadful headache leaves me alone. Have a lovely weekend. xx

  3. Aww they're absolutely gorgeous! Love the cheeky grin on the littlie.
Auskick sounds cool, I think I'd rather my boys play that, than full blown league... now to persuade hubby of that!
Great to hear the back pain is under control for the time being, hope it stays that way for your weekend :o)

  4. Greedy? I always go for three myself. I must be a total glutton of grateful!!

How gorgeous is that bright, big smile on your little footballer's face? Just a delightful pic that really captures the moment.

And, oh yes, that other one in the cubby is a bit of alright himself! x

  5. Good to hear you are feeling a bit better. Back pain is the worst, especially when you have little ones. Your two look gorgeous peeping out the cubby window! You do have a lot to be thankful for! X

  6. You can be as greedy as you want.

So glad the pain is not so bad. Wishing you a full recovery.

You must be so proud of those little bundles of testosterone.

    Yay for footy.

  7. What gorgeous boys and gorgeous smiles!

I feel you with your back pain, so good to hear it is improving. I hurt my back about 12 years ago from a water skiing accident. It plays up all the time. I have found comfort in yoga, which I try to do half an hour each morning to start the day. It has made an amazing difference and for that I am grateful!

PS found you through Maxabella Loves ♥

  9. Thanks for all the lovely comments girls, much appreciated.

I got a massive dose of perspective this week. So even though my back pain is horrid there are definitely people out there who are doing it a lot worse. So I really have a lot to be grateful for.

    Xx
